Elaborating on Slnine's vent technique

I really like this technique by Flickr user Slnine, and so I felt compelled to try to make it more compact. This is what I came up with.

Probably been done before, though I haven’t seen it. It’s possible to get something similar and more compact without using the bars, but the clips don’t line up quite as well.
